Values of the surface tension increments by electrolytes in aqueous solutions, dΔγ/d c 2, reported in the literature have been critically examined and are presented. The additivity of the ionic contributions to these increments has been tested and confirmed within ± 0.2 mN·m −1 ·mol −1 ·dm 3 . A set of ionic increments dΔγ/d c i is proposed and tabulated.
