A new Dysdera spider species is described from Cyprus. Based on male and female morphological features, the new species, D. udata n. sp., can be considered in the asiatica species group. Besides the copulatory characters, the new species’ males also have cheliceral projections, which are rarely observed in the genus Dysdera, and both sexes have retrolaterally positioned tubercles on the patellae.
