Halime Konal (2025) conducted an observational in Congenital heart disease (n=107). 10% decrease in intraoperative NIRS values vs. No 10% decrease in NIRS values was evaluated on Postoperative Pediatric Risk of Mortality (PRISM) score (p=0.003). A 10% decrease in intraoperative NIRS values compared to baseline significantly increased postoperative PRISM, PIM2, and RACHS-1 mortality scores in pediatric patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
