Two new geochemical reference samples, Syenite JSy‐1 and Manganese nodule JMn‐1 have been prepared by the Geological Survey of Japan (GSJ) for collaborative studies on their chemical composition. Major and minor elements are presented. The homogeneity tests show that all elements studied are considered to be distributed homogeneously. A description of their geological and mineral composition is also presented.
