Vibrating capillary apparatus (VCA) was designed and constructed for the preparation of sulphamethoxazole (SMZ) microcapsules using gelatin as a coating polymer. The microcapsules were characterized by physico‐chemical methods. The apparent diffusion coefficient Da and diffusion rate constant KBL of the drug were measured at pH of 1.2 and 7.2. Better controlled release products were obtained in the VCA.
