Within the elasticity theory the equilibrium positions of misfit dislocations occurring at semicoherent interfaces are considered. Calculations are performed for isolated dislocations as well as an infinite row of dislocations in an infinite two-dimensional lattice. Misfit dislocations are shifted into the weaker region, where the shear modulus is smaller. A linear approximation of the equilibrium position obtained in the case of isolated dislocations describes at least semi-quantitatively the behaviour of dislocation rows, too.
