A lectotype for Eutactophlebia reticulata Klapálek, type species of genus Eutactophlebia Klapálek, 1914, is designated and its genitalia are described. The name Eutactophlebia is suppressed as an invalid synonym of Kempnyia Klapálek, 1914. The species so far included in Eutactophlebia (gracilenta Enderlein, petropolitana Navás, reticulata Klapálek, serrana Navás) are all transferred to Kempnyia. K. calabriae Joost, 1980, is a junior synonym of K. reticulata.
