The oil from leaves of Cotinus coggygria Scop. (Anacardiaceae) obtained by hydrodistillation was analysed by GC–MS. Forty‐two components were characterized, representing 99.6% of the total components detected. The major constituents were identified as limonene (48.5%), (Z)‐β‐ocimene (27.9%) and (E)‐β‐ocimene (9.7%).
