Consider leiomyosarcoma in atypical aortic aneurysms; first case leaves open incidence, diagnosis, and management.
Case Report (n=1)
This represents the first reported case of primary leiomyosarcoma of the aorta.
Hernandez et al. (1979) conducted a case report in Primary leiomyosarcoma of the abdominal aorta (n=1). Surgical biopsy and electron microscopy was evaluated on Tumor characteristics. A case of primary leiomyosarcoma of the abdominal aorta was identified, characterized by neoplastic smooth muscle cells replacing the aortic wall and forming a saccular aneurysm.
