This study explored how 20 Rohingya women refugees navigated forced migration while fostering their cultural continuity, psychosocial recovery, and collective empowerment in a Midwest city of the United States. Using the qualitative phenomenological method, four themes were identified from individual interviews: (1) motivation for migration, (2) transformative healing of grief and trauma, (3) hopes and realities, and (4) advice for newcomers and community. The findings enhance knowledge for mental health professionals and organizations serving refugees, creating culturally sensitive and effective resources tailored for Rohingya women.
