SUMMARY One hundred and forty-two cases of canine patellar luxation in 125 dogs were treated surgically, using trochlear arthroplasty or transplantation of the tibial tuberosity, or both. Results were satisfactory in 90.1% of the cases. Choice of the surgical procedure used in each dog was based on preoperative evaluation of abnormalities present.
