What is the direct experience of care providers with the deactivation of pacemakers and ICDs in terminally ill patients?
There is a significant lack of literature and guidance regarding the direct experience of care providers with deactivating pacemakers and ICDs in terminally ill patients.
Sparse provider experience data warrants caution in end-of-life device decisions; leaves open need for targeted research and guidelines.
