The kinetics of the reactions I - + IrCl 6 2 - and Fe(CN) 6 4 - + S 2 O 8 2 - have been studied in anionic micelles of sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) at 298.2 K. The results obtained in this work, as well as those obtained in sodium bis-2-ethylhexyl sulfosuccinate (AOT)/decane/water microemulsions and aqueous sodium nitrate solutions, can be explained by using as a starting point the Brönsted equation.
