Combined right and left-sided infective endocarditis is exceptionally rare but can be successfully managed with early diagnosis and a multidisciplinary approach in hemodialysis patients.
Bolleke et al. (2024) conducted a case report in Infective endocarditis (n=1). Antibiotic therapy and surgical intervention (aortic valve replacement and vegetation removal) was evaluated on Clinical recovery. A 51-year-old hemodialysis patient with rare combined right and left-sided infective endocarditis was successfully treated with a multidisciplinary approach including surgery and antibiotics.
