A search has been made for localized sources of high energy cosmic rays, by measuring the directions of arrival of the particles in extensive air showers with cloud chambers run in coincidence with a counter detecting system. An angular resolution rather better than 5° was achieved. No sources have been found between latitudes 10°N and 90°N on the celestial sphere for showers of average energy 8 × 10 15 eV.
