This study investigates a diffusive infection age-structured SIS epidemic model with a Neumann boundary condition, which is a generalization of the model studied in [Allen et al., Asymptotic profiles of the steady states for an SIS epidemic reaction diffusion model, Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems Series A 21 (2008) 1–20]. We define the basic reproduction number R 0 by identifying the next generation operator, and show that for R 0 < 1, the solution tends to a unique disease free steady state, and for R 0 > 1, there is at least one nonnegative steady state.
