RCA stenting triggers fatal retrograde aortic dissection complicated by severe aortic insufficiency.
Why the study?
Iatrogenic aortocoronary dissection is a rare but serious complication during coronary interventions that requires prompt management to prevent severe outcomes.
Case Report (n=1)

Case of iatrogenic RCA dissection with retrograde extension warrants procedural vigilance; leaves open optimal management strategies.
Dahdouh et al. (2012) conducted a case report in Iatrogenic bidirectional dissection of the right coronary artery and ascending aorta (n=1). Percutaneous coronary intervention (stenting of RCA) was evaluated on Clinical outcome of the complication. Stenting of the right coronary artery was complicated by an iatrogenic bidirectional dissection extending to the ascending aorta and aortic valve, resulting in massive aortic insufficiency and death.
