The polarization of a graphite anode in a CaCl 2 -CaO melt in the temperature range 790–870°C at CaO concentrations of 1–8 mol % and current densities of 10 −2 –10 A cm −2 was studied. The temperature and concentration dependences of the limiting current spent for the oxidation of oxygen ions were determined.
