The hydrodynamic properties of dilute solutions of lignin isolated from mountain ash ( Sorbus aucuparia ) and apple ( Malus domestica Borkh.) wood have been studied. The correlation between hydrodynamic and scaling characteristics of polymers has been considered. The results demonstrate that the topological structure of lignin macromolecules have a starlike shape with linear rays.
