Aromatic, aliphatic, cyclic and acyclic O-tert-butyldimethylsilyl oximes were prepared in 77 to 85% yield by the reaction of the corresponding aldoximes and ketoximes with tertbutyldimethylchlorosilane (TBSCI) using imidazole/DMF system.
