Salt metathesis of the tripodal lithium triamidometalates H3CC(CH2NSiMe3)3MLi(THF)2 (M = Sn (1, Ge (2)) with [Q][AuX2] (Q = PPh4, Ph3PBz; X = Cl, Br) has yielded the digerma- and distannaaurates [Q][{H3CC(CH2NSiMe3)3M}2Au](M = Sn (3), Ge (4))
