The glow curve of the thermoluminescence (TL) emitted from LiF:Mg,Cu is analysed numerically on the basis of a modified Mayhugh model. The main peak of LiF:Mg,Cu closely resembles peak 5 in LiF TLD-100 which is widely known to possess an abnormally high activation energy and frequency factor when analysed in terms of a pure Randall-Wilkins model. When the analysis is carried out using the modified Mayhugh model, the trap depth and the frequency factor of the traps responsible for the main peak of LiF:Mg,Cu are found to be 1.17 eV and 4.85 x 1010 s-1 respectively, values that are within the normal range.
