The correlated phenomena of thermoluminescence (TL) and thermally stimulated conductivity (TSC) with first-order conditions may be explained theroretically by the assumption of the existence of additional thermally disconnected traps. Explicit solutions for the intensities are obtained. The calculated glow curves are in good agreement with experimental results. Thermally disconnected traps are also introduced in second-order kinetics and the variation of their density is discussed. In this case the large half-widths and the large shift of TSC maxima to higher temperatures in comparison with TL maxima indicate that the introduction of this parameter is not physically reasonable here.
