Retrograde carotid artery stenting safely treats bilateral carotid dissection after type A repair in Marfan syndrome.
Why the study?
The effectiveness and safety of carotid artery stenting for bilateral carotid artery dissection causing cerebral malperfusion after open surgical repair of type A aortic dissection in Marfan syndrome was not well established.
Carotid artery stenting via a retrograde direct puncture approach can be safely performed for bilateral carotid dissection following surgical repair of type A aortic dissection in Marfan syndrome.
