Longitudinal phase space tomography is widely used in particle accelerators for beam diagnostics. Earlier works consider synchrotron oscillations of the particles within the separatrix; however, for some experiments the distribution of the particles outside the separatrix matters. In this work, we developed a longitudinal phase space tomography algorithm for the particles both inside and outside the separatrix. We applied the new algorithm to the FCT (fast current transformer) beam profile measurements from the NICA Booster multi-turn injection experiments.
