The phenomenon where sleep drive increases as synaptic connection strength rises during wakefulness, followed by a global downscaling of synapses during sleep, has traditionally been explained in neuroscience as “energy consumption reduction and noise elimination (Synaptic Homeostasis Hypothesis: SHY)”. In this paper, we reformulate this phenomenon from a quantum informational perspective based on the in vivo quantum processing unit (QPU) theory and the “Primitive Triple-Program Architecture”. We define synaptic strengthening as the dynamic expansion of “volatile quantum RAM (multi-core clusters)” via liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS), and demonstrate that the ensuing accumulation of phase jitter is the physical essence of intense “sleepiness (safe mode transition request)”. We clarify that the sleep process is not merely a period of rest, but an indispensable system maintenance cycle consisting of the structural consolidation of static tags into the non-volatile storage layer (Tag Consolidation), debugging and verification via virtual test patterns/dreams (Verify), and the dismantling of obsolete quantum RAM clusters (memory release).
