This study investigates the comparative effects of CaO/CaCO 3 derived from snail shell powder (SSP) that has undergone both mechanochemical and thermal treatments on the dielectric properties of polystyrene (PS) and polypropylene (PP) matrices. The findings reveal that the incorporation of SSP induces similar phenomena in both matrices, although the intensity and specific behavior of these effects vary slightly due to the intrinsic properties of each polymer. Typographical, SSP addition leads to modest reductions in impedance, conductivity, and permittivity, along with lower dielectric losses, thereby enhancing dielectric performance at high frequencies. X-ray diffraction provides insights into the composites’ crystallinity and structure. With SSP acting as an insulating reinforcement, it is a promising candidate for enhancing the dielectric properties of polymer composites. This study opens new avenues for developing SSP-filled composites for applications requiring efficient dielectric property management.
