This preprint introduces “Unity of Appearance and Plurality of Grounding,” a metaphysical-phenomenological framework for examining the relations among truth, consciousness, subjectivity, cognition, and phenomenal presence. The paper distinguishes truth from appearance and cognition, defines grounding as the principle of subject individuation, and proposes the unity of the ground of appearance as an explanatory hypothesis rather than a demonstrated ontological fact. It also examines alternative biological, neuroscientific, phenomenological, and metaphysical explanations, and situates the framework in relation to Ibn ‘Arabi, Suhrawardi, Kant, phenomenology, neutral monism, and contemporary philosophy of consciousness. The work is presented as a conceptual philosophical preprint and has not undergone peer review.
