Developmental disabilities affect physical, cognitive, language, psychological, and self-care functioning. This pilot study evaluated a two-stage screening and early support approach among Mongolian preschool children. First, researchers screened 610 four-year-olds from 22 Ulaanbaatar kindergartens for developmental risk. Second, 52 at-risk children underwent culturally adapted Kurosawa screening for ASD, ADHD, learning, and behavioral difficulties. Seventeen children showed elevated risk profiles, accounting for 22 positive classifications across four screening domains, and were referred for further evaluation. The instrument demonstrated good internal consistency (α = .88–.93) and moderate-to-strong parent–teacher agreement, supporting the preliminary feasibility of this preschool-based approach in Mongolia.
