Using a grounded theory approach, this study suggests that networking is essential for new cooperatives and for the solidaristic and participatory aspects of their organizational models. Focusing on a new cooperative within Hungary’s emerging solidarity economy ecosystem, the research explores its internal and external networking practices. Internal networking is instrumental in creating efficient and participatory governance structures, while external networking is crucial for nurturing the broader solidarity economy ecosystem. These findings contribute to research on networking in the context of new cooperativism and provide insights into the emerging dynamics of alternative social provisioning.
