What is a Zine? In my workshops, I always start by asking this question. The students are often apprehensive and unsure, worried about saying the wrong thing. Some will say they have no idea; others will tentatively describe a folded pamphlet. In general, they tend to focus more on zines as objects, rather than the culture that surrounds them.
