Eucelatoria sp. (Diptera: Tachinidae) were reared in vitro to adults from maggots that had lived in the host as briefly as 4–6 h. The artificial diet provided a requisite transition from a liquid to a gelled medium for the young maggots and provided adequate nutrition. Eucelatoria sp. is the second species of tachinid and the first rapidly developing species of tachinid to be reared to the adult stage on artificial diet.
