This letter presents an energy-selective substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) slotted antenna with nonlinear component loading for high-intensity radiation fields (HIRFs) protection. The proposed design integrates PIN diodes and lumped inductors across the slots to achieve adaptive admittance modulation. Through equivalent circuit parameter extraction, the nonlinear network deliberately detunes slot admittance under HIRFs exposure, disrupting original resonance via field-induced admittance transforming. The alteration changes the antenna's radiation pattern, reducing the realized gain over 23 dB after measured, and thus providing HIRFs preventing. The proposed antenna demonstrates enhanced electromagnetic protection in HIRFs environments and stable radiation characteristics in normal operation.
