Ultrasound guided erector spinae plane block: an alternative technique for providing analgesia after total hip arthroplasty surgery?

We describe the use of ultrasound guided erector spi- nae plane (esP) block for postoperative analgesia in an 85-year-old female, weight 47 kg, height 158 cm, american society of anesthesiologists physical status (asa) of iV, who required total hip arthroplasty surgery for pertrochanteric fracture and necrosis of the femoral head.
