The morphology of nanomaterials significantly affects their physical and chemical properties. In this study, Tetradecyltrimethylammonium bromide was used as the carbon source, and sodium bromide (NaBr) and a mixture of CsCl with NaBr were used as spacers to prepare carbon nanospheres and carbon nanoneedles, respectively. Characterization techniques included SEM, XPS, XRD, Raman spectroscopy, and FT-IR spectroscopy, the results demonstrate that carbon nanoneedles have a higher degree of graphitization and lower surface oxidation. The introduction of CsCl significantly changed the morphology of the carbon nanomaterials, transforming them from spherical to needle-like structures.providing a new strategy for the design and control of nanomaterial morphology.
