As artificial intelligence becomes a structural feature of organizational life, leadership studies faces a foundational challenge: what forms of human intelligence become more necessary when machine intelligence becomes more powerful? This working paper introduces FILE: The Five Intelligences of Leadership Evolution as a management theory and diagnostic framework proposing that responsible leadership and decision-making in the age of artificial intelligence and robotics require the integrated development of five human intelligences: Augmented Intelligence (AI, "Mind"), Emotional Intelligence (EQ, "Heart"), Cultural Intelligence (CQ, "World"), Political Intelligence (PQ, "Society"), and Adaptive Intelligence (AQ, "Evolution"), expressed in the FILE Formula: FILE = AI + EQ + CQ + PQ + AQ. The FILE Odyssey introduces a new human-centered definition of leadership: Leadership = Intelligence + Character + Judgment, with Intelligence conceptualized through FILE, Character through SQL, and Judgment through LENS within the FILE Architecture. The paper maps the twelve original contributions of the FILE Odyssey: a human-centered definition of leadership (Leadership = Intelligence + Character + Judgment); a human-centered framework (FILE: The Five Intelligences of Leadership Evolution); a human-centered theory (FILE, FILE³, FILE⁵, FILE⁷, and the 7E Cascade); a human-centered ethos (SQL: The Six Qualities of Leadership); a human-centered judgment model (LENS: Leadership, Ethics, Nondelegation, and Sensemaking); a human-centered vision (RC: The Relational Commons); a human-centered education (MAIL: Management, AI, and Leadership, supporting proposed MLT: Management, Leadership, and Technology degrees); a human-centered methodology (HACK: Human-AI Co-created Knowledge); a human-centered philosophy (Human Irreducibility); a human-centered AI governance codex (The Five Immutable Laws of AI and Robotics: HTTPS: Humanity, Truth, Transparency, Protection, and Security); a human-centered public policy (BASIC and RULES); and a human-centered civilization (Inalienable Leadership: the overarching metatheory of leadership in the age of artificial intelligence and robotics). This paper situates FILE in relation to existing scholarship on leadership theory, management frameworks, AI and management, algorithmic control, socio-technical systems, collective intelligence, human-centered AI, and management education, and identifies a gap concerning the second-order governance of human judgment in AI-mediated organizations. The paper traces an intellectual progression across five equally weighted arcs: foundational framework, theory, ecosystemic philosophy, praxis, and the FILE School of Thought: Humans + Machines, under human leadership.
