Capitalization and social support within romantic dyads are linked to improved relationship functioning. Research on how these constructs impact relationship functioning is well‐established but mainly sampled on non‐Latinx White couples. To determine how these constructs function within Spanish‐speaking Latinx couples, valid Spanish‐language measures to assess them must be available. We developed Spanish translations of the Perceived Responses to Capitalization Attempts Scale and Kessler's Perceived Social Support. We utilized current best‐practice recommendations for translation and conducted a comprehensive evaluation of both measures' psychometric properties. The PRCA and KPSS both demonstrated adequate reliability, validity, and cross‐cultural and cross‐linguistic equivalence. These findings support the use of both the PRCA and the KPSS in diverse Spanish‐speaking populations. This work can help promote the inclusion of Spanish‐speakers in relationship research, thus addressing the general underrepresentation of Spanish‐speaking couples in relationship research.
