The Nonlinear Vacuum Medium (NVM) framework investigates whether familiar particle, quantum, gauge, and gravitational descriptions can arise as effective regimes of a deeper continuous nonlinear substrate. This manuscript does not treat that ontology as established fact. It specifies a concrete candidate field realization and develops a disciplined hierarchy by which the realization can be mathematically admitted, numerically tested, connected to established physics, calibrated, exposed to differential prediction, and ultimately rejected or supported by experiment. The canonical realization is formulated on an assumed 3+1-dimensional Minkowski scaffold with signature (+—) using an independent real scalar amplitude field ρ:M → ℝ and an independent internal orientation field n:M → S² satisfying n·n=1. The composite two-form Hμν=n·(∂μn×∂νn) enters a minimal candidate action containing scalar-gradient, orientation-gradient, symmetry-breaking, and quartic derivative terms. The amplitude equation, projected orientation equation, constraint structure, Hamiltonian/Legendre map, tangent kinetic matrix, homogeneous-vacuum linearization, and principal-symbol framework are analytically derived. Full-domain strong hyperbolicity and nonlinear localized existence remain to be established. The manuscript separates a localized configuration from a solution, a solution from a persistent invariant organizational regime, and a persistent regime from a physical particle. Tests A–F address nonlinear existence/admissibility, persistence, accessibility, spectral/scaling classification, low-wave-number propagation, and common conformal characteristic geometry. Electromagnetic, gravitational, quantum-state, Born-rule, Bell-correlation, spinor/fermionic, and effective-QFT correspondence remain downstream research targets governed by explicit anti-circularity and correspondence-promotion requirements. The fixed Minkowski scaffold is an input to the present realization, not an emergent result. Consequently, success on this scaffold cannot be counted as a derivation of 3+1 dimensionality, Lorentzian causal structure, fundamental spacetime, or time. Calibration is separated from prediction, and ordinary frozen-protocol numerical certification is distinguished from theorem-level mathematical existence. The present contribution is therefore one of model specification, analytic development, and falsifiable test architecture. No admissible localized nonlinear solution, physical calibration, NVM-specific differential prediction, or experimental confirmation is presently established. The immediate scientific task is exploratory Test A followed by completion and review of the confirmatory freeze package, transition to R_frozen^(A), and confirmatory Test-A execution. October 2026 revision. This version substantially strengthens the manuscript’s scientific-status discipline and mathematical specification. It clarifies the distinction between the canonical NVM realization and downstream correspondence programs; sharpens the Hamiltonian, Legendre, principal-symbol, hyperbolicity, localized-structure, stability, and numerical-validation framework; explicitly separates viability on an assumed 3+1-dimensional Minkowski scaffold from any future derivation of spacetime; and formalizes the evidential requirements for electromagnetic, gravitational, quantum-state, Born-rule, Bell/nonseparability, spinor/fermionic, and effective-QFT correspondences. These downstream correspondences remain research objectives rather than established results.
