Vaishali et al. (2020) conducted a cross-sectional in Healthy subjects (cardiovascular disease prevention) (n=75). Hamsadhwani Carnatic music listening via headphones vs. Pre-exposure baseline after 5 minutes of supine rest was evaluated on Systolic blood pressure (SBP, mmHg) (p=<0.001). Hamsadhwani music listening for 3 minutes significantly reduced mean systolic blood pressure by 11.51%, diastolic blood pressure by 6.56%, and heart rate by 8.13% in healthy adults (all p<0.001).
