Enhancing eating disorder interventions was the basis of the "not my mum, not my dad" hypothesis 2014, in formation and maintenance of eating disorders. This work has continued for ten years and will be presented in two papers. In this paper, the basic principles will be presented with case material from across this time period. The approach is considered to mirror parts of the Maudsley Model and to provide a way to achieve such methods in non-hospital environments. It can also be applied to a broader range of eating disorders. However, this enhancement has not been taken up by many, other than my supervisees who have eating disorder clients.
