This is a qualitative study that aims to reveal the Turkish social workers’ experiences of psychological resilience. For this purpose, a total of 20 social workers were interviewed. Data were analysed with thematic content analysis. The experiences of social workers were discussed under 4 main themes and 6 sub-themes: professionalism, job satisfaction, emotional support and needs and suggestions. Although the majority of participants indicated that they considered themselves to be psychologically resilient, six individuals reported that they did not perceive themselves to the same extent. To cope with difficulties encountered in the workplace, participants employ a range of coping strategies, including remaining calm and complaining to superiors. Participants emphasised the need for a supportive work environment that fosters resilience, open communication, and effective supervision. To enhance social workers’ psychological resilience, supportive measures such as flexible hours, supervision systems, and self-help groups are recommended.
