The hydrodynamics of a 5 MW offshore wind turbine semi-submersible foundation was studied, and a floating foundation model was constructed. Based on the three-dimensional potential flow theory and environmental loads, the hydrodynamics of the floating foundation in the frequency domain was analyzed; Design mooring system and conduct time-domain analysis on floating foundation. Study the motion response of floating foundations under working conditions and the motion response after mooring failure. The result has shown that the amplitude decreases by 14% under surge and 4% under heave, with a maximum phase shift of 7.5s. The performance of the third-order fractal aperture shapes plate is better than that of the hexagonal vertical oscillation plate. It provides reference value for the floating structure of offshore wind turbines.
