Drug Release In Research Article e75268, Christian Wischke and co-workers explore dual-stimuli-sensitive microgels from poly(N-acryloyl glycine) as carriers for biologics. Monodisperse droplets were templated by microfluidics and photopolymerized in situ. The formed physical polymer networks were characterized in detail. Microgel swelling in response to pH facilitated post-production loading of glutathione, while subsequent network constriction induced by calcium ions enabled strongly sustained release.
