This article examines how nationalist movements renegotiate symbolic boundaries by focusing on Galician nationalist discourses surrounding Galician feminist author Pardo Bazán, long excluded and otherized due to her commitment to Spanish nationalism. The analysis focuses on political and heritage disputes over the Pazo de Meirás -her former residence later appropriated by dictator Francisco Franco and recently returned to public ownership- which have reactivated debates over her legacy since 2008. Drawing on discourse analysis of institutional and cultural products, the article shows how feminist framing enables conditional inclusion of dissonant figures, contributing to debates on boundary-making and intersecting identity frames.
