For H >= 1, let B_H denote the set of primes having another prime within distance at most H. We prove that there exists an absolute constant H_0 such that almost every even integer admits a Goldbach representation N = p + q, where p belongs to B_H0 and q is prime. The argument combines bounded-prime-cluster results arising from the Maynard-Tao sieve, pseudorandom majorants and restriction estimates for bounded-gap primes, and an almost-all binary transference principle. Thus one summand in almost every Goldbach representation can be required to belong to a genuine bounded prime cluster.
