Dihydroxylammonium 5,5′‐bistetrazole‐1,1′‐diolate (TKX‐50) is a promising energetic material that possesses both exceptional energy density and low sensitivity. Nevertheless, its application is hindered by incomplete pyrolysis during combustion or explosion. Various strategies, including eutectic formation, composite preparation, and catalysis, have been developed to optimize energy release. However, it remains challenging to significantly enhance the efficiency of conventional catalysts. Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) offer a distinct advantage: their organic frameworks can adsorb gases, whereas the metal ions provide excellent catalytic active sites, positioning them as promising catalysts for TKX‐50. In this work, spindle‐like NH 2 ‐MIL‐88B(Fe) with adjustable size has been designed by a solvothermal method to catalyze TKX‐50. The NH 2 ‐MIL‐88B(Fe) dramatically improves the thermal decomposition and combustion performance of TKX‐50. Analysis of TG‐DSC revealed that NM88‐2 significantly reduces the decomposition peak temperature by 45.2°C and lowers the activation energy by 14.2 kJ mol −1 . Moreover, the ignition experiment indicated that NM88‐2 promotes the complete combustion of TKX‐50 both at constant pressure (reducing the combustion time by 419 ms) and at constant volume (the ignition delay time is shortened by 63.11%). Upon the addition of NM88‐2, the decomposition peak temperature of the HTPB/TKX‐50 composite solid propellant (CSP) further decreased to 224.1°C. The CSP also decreased the combustion time by 1.2 s and exhibited a higher and brighter flame, indicating that the NH 2 ‐MIL‐88B(Fe) effectively promotes the combustion behavior of HTPB/TKX‐50 CSP. The development of MOF‐based catalysts effectively mitigates the issue of incomplete pyrolysis in TKX‐50. This work not only provides a strategy for designing high‐efficiency energetic formulations but also broadens the potential applications of MOFs.
