Fluctuating Nakagami-m fading model is the mixture of Nakagami-m and uniform distribution, which is suitable for vehicle-to-vehicle communication, underwater acoustic communication and device-to-device communication. In this paper, the performance of physical layer security over fluctuating Nakagami-m fading channels is analyzed. At first, the closed-form expression of generalized moment generating function (GMGF) is derived. With the help of derived GMGF, the expressions of probability of successful secure transmission and strictly positive secrecy capacity (SPSC) are derived. The results are presented in heavy and light shadowing environments by setting different shadowing parameter values. In light shadowing (no shadowing) condition, the model reduces to Rayleigh and Nakagami-m distributions. The Monte Carlo simulation results are used to validate newly obtained numerical results.
