This work examines the title of Holy Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth from its biblical, theological and magisterial foundations. It analyses her relationship with the kingship of Jesus Christ, her Divine Motherhood, her unique association with her Son’s saving work, and her glorification in the Assumption. It also considers the teaching of Pius XII, the Second Vatican Council and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and shows the presence of Mary’s queenship in the prayer, liturgy and devotion of the Church. Finally, it explains the maternal and serving character of this queenship, what it means and what it does not mean, and its importance for Christian life.
