This paper investigates feedback temperature control employing plasma synthetic jet actuator (PSJA) to evaluate the efficacy of manipulating the duty cycle of the applied voltage waveform. PSJA induces airflow directed toward point heat sources mounted on the surface of a vertical plate, thereby enhancing heat transfer to the surrounding air. The heat source temperature is regulated by a PID controller that dynamically adjusts the duty rate. An open-loop experiment is performed to find the operational range where the temperature decrease exhibits a linear dependence on the duty rate. Within this range, the closed-loop system demonstrates desirable tracking performance.
