Key result
Dual-valve TEER achieves a two-grade reduction in mitral and tricuspid regurgitation, improving hemodynamics.
Why the study?
Severe tricuspid regurgitation with mitral valve disease is associated with poor outcomes and requires effective transcatheter treatment strategies.
Case Report (n=1)
Hypothesis-generating for combined mitral-tricuspid TEER; larger prospective studies needed before clinical adoption.
•Tricuspid regurgitation with mitral valve disease is associated with poor outcomes.•Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair of the tricuspid valve can be done successfully.•Intraprocedural echocardiography is essential for transcatheter tricuspid therapies.

Bechis et al. (2018) conducted a case report in Severe mitral and tricuspid regurgitation (n=1). Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (MitraClip) was evaluated on Reduction in mitral and tricuspid regurgitation grade. Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair of both the mitral and tricuspid valves successfully achieved a two-grade reduction in regurgitation for both valves, resulting in immediate hemodynamic improvement.
